Raina Sokolov-Gonzalez has dropped a great track and music video in the form of ’40 Days’. The New York-based singer and composer writes music that sits in a unique sonic area, that is built from improvisation and structured around emotion and her understanding of the world. At its core, this is an R&B track which oozes with influence from slow, soulful funk and jazz, which bringing a clear influence from modern pop production. On the accompanying music video, she explains: “Quickly this idea of inside/outside came into focus and I started to imagine the perfect space to contain this vision. I reached out to my friends at the Suminski Innski in Tivoli, New York. The Inn is so beautiful and unique, it has real character.” She will be touring Europe in 2022. -Dan Peeke
